Week 3 of my Project 365
/365: A special day when mom gets to pick you up early from school and we get to have lunch and some one-on-one time together.
/365: Their independence is a trade off for some messes. They dress themselves every morning and most of the time this (or worse) is the aftermath. Yes it drives me nuts that they want the shirt on the bottom and so the whole pile of folded shirts topples over as they pull it out. But it also makes my heart giggle to see my youngest to short to reach his clothes but he wants to be as independant as his older brothers, so he improvises.
/365: Root beer floats, a special treat that they loooooove.
/365: The two youngest have gotten in on the bottle flipping action. It's pretty serious stuff.
/365: Sleep outs, as we call them, have become a weekend tradition. At least one night a week, we grab our pillows and blankets to camp out in the toy room together. Somehow dad has narrowed our movies to one of two choices each time: Marmaduke or Yogi Bear. Somehow you never tire of them.
/365: The sun makes an appearance few and far in between. Usually it is just gray, flat gray. But sometimes we get foggy gray days. If I can't have the sun I will take this beautiful blanket of fog.
/365: You've had Howl since you were two. He has gone everywhere and done everything that you have done. Even at almost 7 years old he brings you comfort. I have always loved the way you snuggle him when you sleep. It so uniquely you the way you lay him gently on your lips and drift off.
