A photo session should not be a one size fits all, that looks like everyone’s engagement photos. And it shouldn’t be over posed and with fake smiles and stiff poses instead of movement, laughter, and passion. It should be tailored to tell your love story in a way that highlights the laughter, the quirks, the passion, and connection only the two of you have. That's why I love using unique locations as a backdrop for our sessions. It’s just one of the many ways I tailor engagement sessions to tell YOUR story!

It doesn’t matter the season, Wisconsin always has something beautiful to offer couples for their engagement photos! There’s no double that fall is a favorite by locals and those who travel to this area. The changing colors are stunning and always beautiful in photos. Summer in Wisconsin means lakes, beaches, and beautiful sunsets. Although our winters can be cold there is something truly special about Wisconsin winter engagement photo. There is nothing like a fresh sea of snow and snuggling close to the one you love. And springtime in Wisconsin everything start to bud and bloom, the sun feels refreshed and renewed. We are so lucky in Wisconsin to have so many amazing seasons to choose from for engagement photos, there really is something unique for everyone!
There are so many beautiful areas in Wisconsin. Some well known like Rib Mountain State Park or Door County that are not only iconic to the area, but also hold a sentimental place for many couples. Even though these are both well known areas, I know spots that are both unique and true hidden gems!
There are a variety of parks in and around the Wausau area. These parks boast things like beautiful hiking trails, beaches, creeks, beautiful fields. Some of my favorite spots are for the adventurous! Even though these spots are in Central Wisconsin they feel like they are far from what the “typical” Wisconsin people think of. Some of these spots are so easy to get to and some require a bit of a walk in to get to them. But the backdrop they offer are absolutely worth it!
Nature spots with beautiful fall colors, and dazzling water will always be some of my favorites, but there is no denying that Urban photos are not only fun but may better capture you as a couple. An urban location can vary from city streets and alleyways, in front of beautiful buildings and murals. But it can also mean using the coffee shop or restaurant you had your first date. It can mean riding your motorcycle or grabbing pizza on the rooftop! the possibilities are endless!
