When Should I Schedule My Engagement Session?

Engagement photos are typically taken several months to a year before your wedding day. Scheduling early means we have time to plan the most amazing session! Scheduling your session early in your engagement also allows you to have plenty of time to select your favorite images for save-the-date cards, wedding invitations, and other pre-wedding materials.

What should I wear?

To be totally honest, most of my clients bring nothing to their session and rely solely on my AMAZING Client Closet - 99% of what you see women wearing in my images belong to the client closet!!! You are more than welcome to bring something special. Some clients like to take advantage of the complimentary second outfit to do two looks; one of their casual outfit and one with my client closet option.

What can we expect during our session?

My approach to engagement sessions is all about creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere. I know that when you feel comfortable, your true personalities shine through, resulting in authentic and emotional photographs. My sessions are far from stiff or posed; instead, I guide you through the session, capturing genuine laughter, loving glances, and those fleeting, real-life moments that make your love story unique. The result? Beautiful photos that feel like real life – a true reflection of your love, filled with laughter, connection, and the essence of your relationship.

Where should we have our engagement session?

There are so many options! Some of my clients like to use a place that is meaningful to their love story; the place they met or had their first date. Some clients request something unique and adventurous. Some clients aren’t sure and they look through my Client Location Guide and we chat about what locations they gravitate towards. Rest assured I’ll help guide you in picking and planning the perfect location!

Do you retouch photos?

Things like pimples, bruises, and scratches are removed. Honestly, most of our clients are WOW-ed at how amazing their images look straight out of camera. I do not remove tan lines or correct skin tone from tanning beds or spray tans, so proceed with caution. I do not re-shape bodies in post editing. Instead I help show you off by styling a wardrobe that compliments you, and amazing lighting and posing techniques to highlight your best assets.

How long after my session until I get my photos?

Clients LOVE my quick turn around time. You'll have any digitals you purchase as early as 3-7 days after your session. Most products like albums or wall art in 2 weeks or less!

How far in advance should I book?

My clients find booking their session 3-6 months in advance is perfect. That way you have a more flexible choice of dates and it's great timing to spread out a payment plan to work in your budget and earn amazing free products or bonuses to your session! If you are wanting photos by a special date, at least 4-5 weeks prior to a special date or occasion is recommended. But if you are looking for something last minute, still reach out and let’s see what we can do!

Do you travel for sessions?

Absolutely! Many client chose to travel to me, I've had people from all over Wisconsin and each coastline. But I do travel as well. From all over Wisconsin, the Midwest, the United States, and even out of the country to bring my magic for those looking for more from their photos.

This kicks off our planning and is a wonderful way for me to get to know you and your partner and start to tailor the session to your love story!
