But knowing how to use Pinterest effectively (without falling into the overwhelm spiral!) is just as important as creating the board itself.
Pinterest inspiration is best used as a jumping-off point, not a shot list, to understand your vision, your style, and the kind of feeling you want your photos to have. But know with or without Pinterest, together, we’ll turn inspiration into something uniquely you.
Here’s how to unlock the power of Pinterest to help plan your perfect session, and how I help bring it all to life:
✅ Use Pinterest to Find Your Vibe, Not Exact Poses
Search broad terms like "moody senior photos," "soft romantic boudoir," or "natural family photography." As you scroll, start pinning images that feel right to you: colors, moods, locations, outfits, even emotions. It doesn’t have to be exact. I can look at your board to get a sense of your style and tailor your session accordingly.
✅ Pin with Intention
You don’t need 200 pins to get your point across. Focus on 10–30 images that really resonate. Do you love movement and emotion? Or more clean and posed? Do you lean into golden light and outdoor backdrops, or something bold and dramatic? That’s the kind of direction that helps me make the session feel like you.
