This couple drove over three hours to have a session with me! And not just that, a sunrise engagement session. As we drove to our spot that morning it was clear we were going to have snowy engagement session instead of a warm sunrise. But how can you be mad about capturing your love in the first snow of the season?!
It was one of those perfect snowfalls; the kind with big flakes that fall softly and slowly. So we wandered around one of my favorites spots. They snuggled and laughed and we captured their love, joy, and excitement!
They also wanted to capture some photos with an in-home feel to them. So we drove to their aunt’s house who lived in the area. What better way to end a snowy session that snuggling up close under a blanket, with hot coffee, and watching the snow continue to fall.
When we were planning this session we decided to go with a trendy but casual feel for wardrobe in the snow. We knew wanted to incorporate the hats and faux fur lined jacket from my client closet! For the indoor photos we definitely wanted comfy and cozy!
Here’s what they had to say after their session:
We had a beautiful snowy sunrise session… in October!!! Kelly made us feel comfortable and we had SO much fun!!! The pictures turned out better than we could have ever imagined!! I cannot wait to book more sessions in the future, it will not be the last time Kelly is our photographer. Book now and you won’t regret it!!
